YOUTHS OF SHASHA

The project “Youths of Shasha” is an answer to a real and amazing phenomenon occurring in Shashamane, a village in southern Ethiopia: the presence of incredible musical talents within the young multi-ethnic community and, at the same time, the absence of any kind of support of their artistic skills.

The following are two trailers from the movie-documentary ‘Yotuhs of Shasha’, which is part of a wider project aiming to estabilish a musical and recording studio for the youth in Shashamane. in addition to the movie, it will be produced a musical compilation where the Youths of Shasha sing their songs in collaboration with the most important Reggae international artists, in order to promote cultural exchange through music and arts and to give international exposure to these talented youth of Ethiopia. Artists like Bunny Wailer, Sizzla Kalonji, Capleton, Bob Andy, Congos and many more ensured already their full support to the project.
